Reeltime Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information in order to provide and operate the Reeltime service:

• Account information: when you register, we collect the email address and password you choose, or, if you sign up with Google Sign-In, basic profile information from your Google account (such as your name, email address, and profile picture) that Google shares with us with your permission.
• Device-linking (pairing) information: when you use the "link device" feature to add an additional device or screen (for example, a TV) to your account, we collect information needed to complete and manage that pairing, such as a pairing code and basic information identifying the linked device.
• Purchase and transaction records: when you buy an access pass, we collect records of your purchase, including the plan purchased, price paid, date, and payment status, processed through KHQR / Bakong (Cambodia's national instant QR payment system). Neither Reeltime nor our payment partners store your card numbers.
• Viewing activity: information about the content you watch on Reeltime, such as titles viewed and playback progress, so we can operate features like resuming playback.
• Comments and other content you post: any comments or other content you choose to submit on movies, series, or other parts of the service.
• Cookies and local storage data: small pieces of data stored in your browser or app, including authentication/session tokens, your theme preference (dark or light), and your language preference (English or Khmer). See "Cookies and Similar Technologies" below for more detail.
• Technical and log data: information about how you access Reeltime, such as your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, app version, and similar diagnostic or log information generated when you use the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above for the following purposes:

• To create, maintain, and secure your account, including authenticating you when you sign in with email/password or Google Sign-In, and supporting password reset requests.
• To let you pair and manage linked devices, and to keep access to your account working at a reasonable number of devices and simultaneous streams, as shown in the app or at checkout.
• To process your purchases through KHQR / Bakong, confirm and record transactions, and grant you access to the content or pass you purchased for its paid duration.
• To operate core streaming features, such as remembering your viewing progress, your theme preference, and your language preference.
• To display comments you post, and to moderate or remove user-generated content that violates our rules (for example, content that is illegal, infringing, harassing, or spam).
• To respond to your support requests and communicate with you about your account, purchases, or this policy.
• To help keep Reeltime secure, including detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access to accounts or content.
• To comply with applicable law, and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
• To maintain and improve the reliability and performance of the Reeltime service generally.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share personal information only in the limited circumstances described below, and only as needed for those purposes:

• Payment partners: to process purchases, we share the information necessary to complete your transaction with the payment providers that operate KHQR / Bakong on our behalf. As noted above, card numbers are not stored by Reeltime or these partners.
• Hosting and service providers: we use cloud video hosting, content delivery, and other service providers to store data and deliver streaming content and to help us run the service. These providers process information on our behalf and only as needed to provide their services to us.
• Other users: if you post a comment, it may be visible publicly to other users of Reeltime alongside an identifier such as your display name.
• Legal and safety reasons: we may disclose information where we believe in good faith it is necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to a valid legal request, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Reeltime, our users, or others.
• Business transfers: if Reeltime is ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy or a successor policy.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Reeltime uses cookies and similar local storage technologies for core functionality: to keep you signed in via authentication/session tokens, to remember your theme preference (dark or light), and to remember your language preference (English or Khmer).

Reeltime does not currently use any third-party advertising or analytics trackers (for example, tools like Google Analytics or Meta Pixel). If this changes in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy to describe any such tools and how they are used.

Most browsers let you control or disable cookies through their settings. Because some cookies are required for basic functions like signing in, disabling them may prevent parts of Reeltime from working properly.

5. Comments and Other Content You Post

When you post a comment or other content on Reeltime, it may be displayed publicly within the app to other users. By posting content, you grant Reeltime a license to display that content as part of the service.

You are responsible for what you post. Reeltime may review, moderate, or remove user-generated content that we determine violates our rules, including content that is illegal, infringing, harassing, or spam, and may take action against accounts responsible for it.

6. Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the Reeltime service to you.

We may also retain certain information for a longer period where necessary to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations, to resolve disputes, to enforce our agreements, or for other legitimate business purposes, such as maintaining records of purchases and transactions. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize it.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Passwords are stored using industry-standard security practices, and we use technical and contractual measures to help protect our content and our systems.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account login credentials confidential and for any activity that occurs under your account, and you should contact us immediately at support@reeltime.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

8. International Data Storage

Reeltime uses cloud hosting and content delivery providers to store and deliver information and content, which may involve processing or storing data on servers located in other countries. Wherever your information is processed, we take reasonable steps to protect it consistently with this Privacy Policy.

9. Your Rights and Choices

You have choices about your personal information. You can:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Request that we delete your account and associated personal information, subject to any information we are required or permitted to retain (for example, transaction records needed for legal or accounting purposes).
• Ask us questions about how your information is collected, used, or shared.

10. Children's Privacy and Age Requirement

Reeltime is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not permit anyone under 18 to create a Reeltime account, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

If we become aware that we have collected personal information from someone under 18, we will take steps to delete that information and close the associated account.

11. Third-Party Links and Social Media

Reeltime's website footer links to our pages on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Telegram. These are third-party platforms with their own privacy practices, which are not covered by this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party platform before using it.

12. Governing Law

Reeltime is a Cambodia-focused service operated by Reeltime Media. This Privacy Policy, and any questions about how we handle personal information, are governed by the laws of Cambodia.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of Reeltime after an update means you accept the revised policy.
